Engage your Creativity

Creative Salons

Creative salons are immersive experiences designed to explore and ignite your creativity.

Put simply - We will go through exercises specifically designed to open up channels of creativity. We will gather and share things we have created over a home cooked dinner made from seasonal ingredients and good wine. We suspend reality for a moment to expand our view of what we are capable of and connect with each other.

“A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life. Living in this manner—continually and stubbornly bringing forth the jewels that are hidden within you—is a fine art, in and of itself.” - Elizabeth Gilbert

  • Meryl has a natural and truly wonderful ability to make people feel at home in her space. She creates such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone, both physically and emotionally, and it really does foster a sense of intimacy and openness that I think defines the salon experience. The creative exercises are really thoughtful and well-done -- and I've done a lot! Rare and special are the opportunities to connect creatively and spiritually with others these days, and over a delicious, like, for real for real, delicious home cooked meal. It harkens back to the dreamy, dinner parties of yore, when people were present, engaged, and energized by the company of others. Yum.

  • The Creative Salon has been such a special part of my year. It’s a space where I’ve not only connected with amazing women but also rediscovered parts of myself I hadn’t explored in a long time. It’s encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, think differently, and share more openly. Plus, we laugh a ton, eat incredible food, and have the best conversations. Meryl’s energy is everything—she’s so warm and joyful, and she really makes the whole experience feel magical.

  • At Creative Salon, Meryl creates such an expansive and nourishing space; by the end of these experiences, my heart is grounded, and I'm reminded that I can and should dream bigger.

FAQ

  • Short answer, absolutely not!

Long answer - it can feel intimidating to sign up for a night focused on creativity if you don’t feel like you do a lot of creative things in your daily life. However, this is what this event is all about - creating space to explore creativity not perform creativity.

  • It is an intimate gathering of six. Five guests and me as your host.

  • The options are endless and have included a sketch/drawing, a poem, an excerpt from a book in progress, a monologue, and on one lucky occasion chocolate pudding. In the salons we focus more on the process of creating and less on the result. We use our contributions to explore how creating makes us feel and what it teaches us.

When selecting something to share it is best not to choose something you deem the most impressive but rather something you feel connected to.

  • Salon tickets are $180 and include drinks, appetizers, sit down dinner, and creative exercise materials. The event is 2-2.5 hours.

  • In my life exploring creativity has been the best way to get into the flow of life, to be present and expand what I believe to be possible.

Creativity can be a spiritual act that allows you to know yourself better and deepen all experiences in life. It is accessible to all is a joyful expression of being alive!
